In this blog, we present a compelling case study that showcases the skill and determination of our team as they tackled a complex project and delivered an innovative solution that exceeded client expectations.
The need
The grid site was situated on a reed bed and flooded. The site needed to be raised by 2m to make it usable.
The brief
To design a compliant solution and fulfil all civils works for the following:
- Site formation levels (raise levels out of reed beds by 2m)
- Raise all ducts drainage bases for machines (and connection to grid)
- Earthing
- Ducting
- Fencing
- Create bases for machines
The solution
We used the Terram design to construct a piling platform that would raise the site to the level required. Vibro compaction was then used to reduce settlement caused by the 2m of infill and use of equipment.
